Canopy Crossroad - Under the Canopy
Canopy Crossroad Mural

Welcome back to Under the Canopy.

Since our last sesh, we’ve had some really exciting updates. Last month, we held an insightful speaking session on What is Ayerveda, where one of our amazing vendors — Smirta Choubey, Founder and CEO of Veda Warrior — explored the history and healing benefits of Ayurveda, and how cannabis plays a role within this ancient wellness tradition.

We also unveiled our beautiful new mural on the West Front Street-facing wall of Canopy Crossroad. Created by Michael White, in collaboration with Red Bank RiverCenter’s mural program, the design features a canopy of trees that nods to our name and reflects our mission to provide a safe, welcoming space for natural wellness.

Stop by 9 West Street to see it in person!

Curious About Cannabis

We’ve all heard of cannabis, but how many of us really know how it works? In our latest article series, we’ve put together an essential guide on how the plant impacts the mind and body.

By understanding the plant’s cannabinoids — which include more than just THC and CBD — you can choose and consume products that are most beneficial to your health and wellness needs. Whether you’re looking to treat something specific or just don’t know where to start, check out Part 1 and Part 2 to learn more.

MEET THE CANNA-COACH:
JEN

Canna-Coach: Jen

What motivated you to work in the cannabis industry?

I’ve been drawn to the cannabis industry by a strong sense of purpose and passion for plant-based wellness. I’ve had many personal experiences when I or loved ones found relief from chronic pain, anxiety, and other health issues through cannabis. This motivated me to help others access similar benefits. Being a Canna Coach offers a chance to make meaningful contributions, challenge outdated stigmas, and participate in a movement that is reshaping public perception of wellness and healing.

What would you recommend to first-time consumers or people looking to learn more?

For first-time consumers or those seeking to learn more about cannabis, education is essential. I recommend starting low and slow with doses and to seek guidance from the our Canna Coaches who can explain the differences between strains, consumption methods, terpenes, and cannabinoid profiles.

What are the most rewarding parts of being a Canna-Coach?

I’m honored to work in a women-owned business that teaches its customers how cannabis can positively impact their wellbeing. I’m also excited by the chance to work in a collaborative and values-driven environment where innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity are emphasized. My colleagues and friends at Canopy Crossroad genuinely care about our products, our clients, and each other. It’s a special place where we take the trust that our clients put in us and aspire to provide a comfortable environment — and at the same time, have a little laugh.
